Hi, I'm Victoria, The founder of Bond and Behave.

My Journey into dog training began when I was 15 years old playing and training with my family pets, things started getting a bit more serious when I became medically disabled at the age of 18. I began struggling with day to day tasks, I then looked into the potential option of getting an assistance dog from a charity however, I quickly found out that Assistance dog charities are constantly filled to the brim and have a waiting list of 2-3 years! I also found that those charities only catered to half of my disabilities and had a lot of requirements that were too much for me to be able to accommodate.

After researching further I found that I could owner train my own pet dog and still be covered by the same laws and rights as a charity dog and here is where my journey began!

12 Years later and here I am, Starting my own dog training business and running an owner trained Assistance dog program so that people who were in the same position I was all those years ago don't have to struggle, feel overwhelmed and go through the same stress I did.

 

At the end of 2022 I brought home Molly and managed to finally get on an Owner trained Assistance dog Organisation program, who managed to join ADUK Candidacy at the time I was with them, and Molly Fully Passed her public access test in October 2024.

I decided my love and passion for dog training had now taken hold! I knew the final standard an assistance dog should be, I'd trained multiple dogs throughout the years and I've now gained some IMDT accredited courses.

What's next?

Well now running on enthusiasm, experience, knowledge and a lot of puppy poo bags! Bond and Behave has arrived in East Lothian and I cant wait to meet all the puppies, owners and future super smart assistance dogs!
